Linguist (Urdu)

Position Requirements

Linguist will have to be able to read, write and speak Urdu at native level. Knowledge of Baluchi or Brahui or Wester Punjabi is a big plus but not required. Linguist will also be able to gist, summarize and translate the foreign language material. In addition the linguist must be able to produce the translated material or summary in clear, understandable and idiomatically correct English. Any prior translation, transcription or interpretation experience would be a big plus.

Qualifications

Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance. Minimum High school education required, Four (4) year degree preferred. Candidate must possess basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office Suite and ability to type.
